How to Help

There are several ways the community can personally help with the efforts against COVID-19. Most importantly staying home, practicing good hand hygiene, giving blood if possible, making a donation of items or dollars.

Making a monetary donation

Click here (Designate HSHS St. Elizabeth's Foundation) to donate to HSHS COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund. Your gift will allow us to provide additional resources to our patients, families and communities, and to further support the physicians, nurses and team members who are working tirelessly.

Donating items and services

During the COVID-19 health crisis, HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital continues to receive offers of donations of many types of items. We are so appreciative of the outpouring of generosity that businesses, community organizations and individuals have expressed to further assist our caregivers.

Please fill out this donation form to submit specific information the type of donation you would like to offer.

Donating Homemade Cloth Face Masks

Adult Face Mask Sewing Instruction Flyer

St. Elizabeth's Hospital will accept cloth face masks to help with the national shortage during the COVID-19 outbreak. To be clear, currently St. Elizabeth's has sufficient supply of surgical masks and other personal protective equipment (PPE) for clinicians and continues to follow CDC guidance for the safety of patients and staff.

These masks will be used in accordance with CDC guidelines. Homemade, sewn face masks are being accepted for use by our limited visitors or those with outpatient appointments (non-COVID-19 diagnosed) as they enter the facility.

For those who wish to make masks, the following criteria must be followed:

Volunteers should follow the state’s Stay Home Order and should not leave their homes to purchase supplies but please consider donating if you already have supplies at home.

Visit our Facebook page often for updates on drop-off locations or call HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Foundation at 618-234-2120, ext. 12446. Do not bring masks to the hospital.

We truly appreciate all of the community support during this time.
