BELLEVILLE, IL – St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, in conjunction with the Big Latch On organization, is hosting a Big Latch On event Saturday, August 2, in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Millennium Room, located on the first floor at 340 West Lincoln Street, Belleville, IL 62220. Mothers are encouraged to arrive by 10:00 a.m. for registration. The event runs from 10:30 to noon and is free to all participants.

Belleville, IL — St. Elizabeth’s Hospital was recently designated as an Emergent Stroke Ready Hospital by the Illinois Department of Public Health. St. Elizabeth’s achieved this special designation by implementing emergency stroke care policies and procedures to align with nationally recognized evidence based standards and criteria, like those from the American Heart/Stroke Association and Brain Attack Coalition.

St. Elizabeth’s Wound Care Center Joins Healogics, Inc. to Raise Awareness of Chronic Wounds

The Wound Care Center at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, a member of the Healogics network, is participating in the first Healogics National Wound Care Awareness Week from June 2 to June 6. One of nearly 600 Healogics managed centers, St. Elizabeth’s Wound Care Center offers advanced therapies, including Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to patients suffering from chronic wounds. Program directors across the nation will dedicate the entire week to visiting local physician offices to provide education to help staff identify patients that may benefit from advanced wound care.
