Friends of St. Elizabeth's Hospital raise over $228,000 at Elizabethan event
On Friday, November 1, more than $228,000 was raised as over 250 people gathered at St. Clair Country Club to celebrate the annual Elizabethan Gala Fundraiser. The Elizabethan has become a traditional fall event for many members of the community, featuring an evening of fellowship and fundraising accompanied by dinner, music and celebrations.
“We appreciate the support demonstrated by our community, physicians, and colleagues during this annual celebration,” expressed Maryann Reese, President and Chief Executive Officer of St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. “Our patient care is enhanced with the technology and resources provided by their generosity.”
“These donations benefit the Friends of St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, allowing us to support the purchase of laptops with barcode scanners for phlebotomy, ventricular assist device for post-op cardiac surgical patients, blanket warmers, and a gamma probe for use for cancer treatment patients,” noted Natalie Jablonski, Director of Development and Mission Services. “We are blessed with the generosity of our community.”
In addition to the fundraising portion of the event, the hospital awarded three Every Hand Healing™ 2013 Service Awards to Catherine Taylor Yank, Bill B. Daily, MD, and Reverend Carolyn Frus.
